Digital Public Policy: New Priorities for Nonprofits

Abstract For decades, tax policy has shaped the outer boundaries of agenda for nonprofit sector. In this research note, we argue that breadth and implications sector’s digital dependencies necessitate an expanded includes regulatory domains defining spaces. Digital issues matter existentially to sector writ-large, thus deserve greater attention from scholars, funders, leaders, makers. We make case by drawing on findings two recent reports. The first one evaluates awareness policies in second explores role nonprofits during year Covid-19 global pandemic. Overall, highlight many across sector, underline why opportunities future advocacy coalition work are numerous, diverse, existential.
